For this Band, I Play the Drums

Alice and Kath! This was so much funnnn. :D

The instructions are:

*Let's pretend you're musically-inclined and all, had your own band and now you've just finished completing your 77th album, but OMG! you'd want to reinvent EVERY effing thing about this particular release, like the album name for instance and the freaking design of the cover and you might as well reinvent the band name too! Thank goodness some crazy person from LJ came up with the following instructions (to help you and your bandmates out before it's too late because your fans are getting wilder by teh minute and they might break in your studio and strangle you all if you don't get teh copies out in the market by dinnertime tomorrow!)

1. The first article title on the page is the name of your band.
2. The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.
3. The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use your graphics program of choice to throw them together, and post it in your own.

OOH CHECK ME AWT.
It's too dark for my Disney taste buwhocares. iz mah baand. :D
kamusta naman sa genre, how confused. yahaha.

Why I Love my Job

There are more days that I wish to quit my current job but that does not mean I don't like what I do. It's just that I think that what I'm doing isn't really my best and that I can do more if I were in a different atmosphere. Then again, I don't really trust my thoughts lately.

On other days I don't want to quit, I love everything about being the tagapanatili ng kagandahan in Josiah's Catering. Why is that, you ask and is that really my job title, you wonder. Duh.

Here are some of the reasons why I love my job:
1. I can be myself whenever I feel like it.
2. At times that I don't have to be myself, I turn out to be okay.
3. I can make up my job titles and get away with it.
4. I get to meet celebrities whether they like it or yes.
5. I get to hang out in the metro's coolest malls [even if I usually end up going there in my uniform, eep].
6. My boss treats me to the coolest restaurants when she/they feel like it.
7. If I have to go far and wide [and ooh is that a desert I see?], our company driver is the best policy.
8. I get to ride in delivery trucks [super exciting!].
9. The company sends me to all these trainings. I owe them my AIM diploma [and the internal hemorrhage that came with it].
10. I call my own time, baby!
11. When I'm sent to man the showroom, I see [and smell] the likes of Dennis Trillo and Bobby Andrews *swoon*
12. I earn extra when I man or host a function.
13. I get to help plan weddings not my own with other people's money to burn.
14. Seeing happy couples reignite my marrying dreams.
15. Seeing happy couples make me more cynical [and I happen to like that, too.]

I can go on but I have to leave soon. Dennis awaits. Lalalala.

Why I Love Keeping Journals

Funny what you write under the influence of adolescence. It's a lot like drugs, I tell you. Haha.

In memory of my first heartbreak [January 29, 1999], I unearthed my high school journals which, much to my dismay, are missing several seasons. Out of three, I only recovered one diary. Now, I'm thinking whether my sister held them captive for future blackmail or that I simply lost them in the black hole somewhere in the bodega [aka my old room].

Whatever the fate of my journals be, I am confident that if and when they get recovered and read, that lucky person has a lot to laugh about. I just wish I'd get my hands on them before incriminating data gets around.

So I have a habit of writing about my crushes and writing to them as a journalistic exercise [yeah, right] for editing in the future. The future is now and what a laugh I've had. What the heck was I thinking?

I am glad to know that I have matured in so many ways-- writing skills, thought processes, and making sense of the why's of the world. Oh barf, I did not just say that. Haha. So to my younger selves whose words were immortalized in these pages, cheers! You had been a great source of rediscovery.
